March comes in like an update lion, but goes out like an update lamb.
I was wrong! March also goes out like an update lion sometimes! Never let it be said that drib will not admit to a mistake.

I just did an update for Oceania, as follows: trips w/insert: 21 total inserts: 126 total sql: 237

So if you use Fare Compare and point it fare history date 2020.03.13, you will find some bargains there ... but not in all categories. There were none for B1, for example, so look at some other category. There were 12 Riviera trips with fare decreases to a B4, for example, ranging from 2.1% to 16.7%, jcalc corrected. And there were 9 Marina trips with fare decreases, ranging from 5.6% to 12.9%, jcalc corrected.

The Regent update is still running, and I'll note any findings on this same post later. So far: trips w/insert: 16 total inserts: 43 total sql: 104

More good news! It looks like I won't have a problem running the Crystal update on March 19 after all. (I didn't run an update today because Crystal should already be pretty current.)

======

Hong Kong Phooey - where I wrote Regent above, that was Crystal, and the final counts are: 16 total inserts: 43 total sql: 105. That's two mistakes I'm admitting to today. A new record for me!

Anyway, I don't see any bargains there.

And I'll try to update Regent before the end of the day.

Also note that I will have words with anyone that doesn't appreciate rhyming "month" with "harrumph," one post north. It's brilliant!
I always try to be....resilient.

Sorry, Can't help myself.

Sugar pie honey bunch?

It must be nice to be so tall that you can reach the good stuff on the "high shelf."

You're an irregular Cole Porter*, Ponzi. Maybe a 52 long?

This cruise

https://www.rssc.com/cruises/NAV220309/summary

changed from debarkation on March 19 to March 20. So this cruise

https://www.rssc.com/cruises/NAV220320/summary

changed from embarkation on March 20.

Since the length of each cruise changed, their prior history on Fare Compare has been removed.

So a cruise that has already been cancelled has changed ITS embarkation date? To yesterday? What am I missing here? I ask on behalf of all members of the stupid as fuck club.

The year. Those cruises are in 2022 and have not been cancelled yet. But the day is early.

Note to self: upon arising, check calendar so you know what year it is. I generally only check google maps so I know what country I am in.

wtf, oceania?

trips w/insert: 24, total inserts: 144, total sql: 428

There were a lot of price increases - fares returning to their earlier higher fares, largely from A1 to A4, but also other categories.

serenity world cruise

Post: # 2861Post mini-d (as of 3-19-2020) »

The segments for the 2023 world cruise are now up on Roll Call. And I'll have the fares posted to Fare Compare in about an hour.

That is all.

======

I had a plan to start loading single supplement fares for Crystal, for example Cat C3 would load as Cat C3-S, and I messed up my first attempt. When I backed out those updates, I forgot that I had done the World Cruise updates earlier in the day. So I'm working on those again - should be another hour.

In the meantime, I split up the work, doing separate runs for Symphony and Serenity. Symphony finished first, and the Cat E2-S fares look good. There were 70 trips with Cat E2, out of 95 total. So most Symphony cruises have Low Solo Fares!

======

World Cruise fares are back, and the C3-S fares look good. There were 58 of those out of 112 total, so just about half.
