print view

Post: # 2445Post drib »

In HTML, there's something called a style sheet, and the style sheet has the instructions on how the page should look. Then there can be different style sheets for each device. So, for example, there can be a separate style sheet for an iPad, so that a page that is meant for a computer monitor will look okay on a smaller screen.

I don't do style sheets for other devices like tablets and smart phones because I don't own a tablet or smart phone.

However, I usually do create a separate style for printers.

So if you print a page from Fare Compare, all the photos and the scrolling in a fixed window are eliminated. All you have left is what I think KenzSailing, on that other message board, is wanting from Crystal.

The print view will honor all the selectors - so if you only want to see 2022, set the year selector to 2022.

Note that when you print something, you can usually chose to print to a PDF file. So you don't have to waste paper.
