drib critic jeopardy!

Post: # 68Post alex - verified canadian »

Welcome to drib critic jeopardy!

Here is the board for game 1:
scrambled
cheese
epic
cruises
ship
shape
wise
guys
all
inclusive
potpourri
100 100 100 100 100 100
200 200 200 200 200 200
300 300 300 300 300 300
400 400 400 400 400 400
500 500 500 500 500 500

All amounts represent drib critic points and there is one daily double in this round.

My helper, Mini-E, will pick the first clue, but going forward, the drib critic member answering correctly can choose the next one. However, if the member fails to pick the next clue within 30 minutes, then any member can pick the next clue.

Note that I will blank out cells in the board shown above after its clue is presented. So be sure to check the board when asking for the next clue. I will also occasionally post a running score.

Since drib critic jeopardy! is not hosted in real time, there may be long gaps until I get back to the game. But I will get back to the game. And while I am away, then you are free to ues this topic for open discussion. As with all topics on drib critic, this one will not be moderated, except as to spam.

Please remember that, for no apparent reason, you must give your answer in the form of a question.

That's fine, Mini-E. But you only have you only have to phrase your answer in the form of a question, for no apparent reason.

WTF, Trebek!

Make up your mind.

If the questions are the answers and the answers are the questions, then I was right to have answered your post with a question.

This is a stupid game, and no one is going to play it for a very apparent reason.

ship shape 100

Post: # 72Post alex - verified canadian »

You may be right, Mini-E, but all the answers and questions are already written. So let's give it a go, shall we?

the ship seen here:

Don't forget that the lower value questions are the easiest to answer.

I'm going to retire for the evening now, but for anyone that wants to play, go for it! I'll be back to check your response in the morning.

Welcome to drib critic jeopardy!, Bodogbodog!

I see by the clothes in your avatar that you are an Australian pimp. drib critic jeopardy! welcomes pimps from all nations!

Judges?

The judges have asked that you provide more information, and please answer in the form of a question, For example, what is the Disney Dream?

Darn my Canadian fingers, I've gone and questioned my own answer!

Anyone now go ahead and pick a new answer - any category and value that is still on the board.

What is the Queen Mary 2

And I'll take Epic Cruises for 100 next.

You're a mean man, Trebek!

The QM2 is correct, mini-e!

Scoreboard:
mini-e: +200

Now, for epic cruises, I'll give the answer from a real Roll Call cruise description and you respond with the starting and ending ports.

For 100:

Grand Canal to Grand Bazaar

Unaccredited Canadian funnyman

Venice to Istanbul is correct, iamheisenberg!

Per the rules (see post 1) you have 30 minutes to pick the next clue - for any remaining category and amount. If you do not post before 30 minutes, then any member can pick. It's important to make the pick so that you have the first chance at the daily double.

Going forward, though, when you post your question, you can assume that you will be right and pick the next clue then. The worst that could happen is you're wrong, and I will not reveal that clue.

Scoreboard:
mini-e: +200
iamheisenberg: +100

I agree, but I am not the administrator. I'm just a Canadian standing in front of a board asking it to respond in the form of a question.

Excuse me, Alex, but bodogbodog gave an incorrect response to the first Ship Shape answer and should be on the scoreboard as -100.

ANd now, may I have All Inclusive for 100, please?

(In this category, the answers are the ingredients for a mixed drink and you should respond with the name of the drink.)

A blend of Pusser's rum with 4 parts pineapple juice, 1 part cream of coconut and 1 part orange juice, well shaken and served over the rocks with a generous amount of fresh nutmeg on top.

epic cruises 200

Post: # 109Post alex - verified canadian »

Yes, that's right. But you should have known that because it was recently featured on "Below Deck," and was even posted in the Floataway Lounge on that other message board.

Scoreboard:
  • mini-e: +200
  • iamheisenberg: +100
  • bodogbodog +100
Note that Bodogbodog was not debited for an incorrect response in Ship Shape 100 because I inadvertently gave away the correct response before he had time to be more specific with his response.

And everyone remember that the higher value clues are more difficult, and many have been designed so that google will not help you at all.

Now, epic cruises for 200:
  • Tangos and Sambas
Television personality, game show host, actor
Unaccredited Canadian funnyman
(And it really is pronounced Don Jew-ahn)
