episode 8: flesh wounds are not five-star
I'm just going to let the episode title sink in there for a day or two before I write my comments.

No loss there - both were a waste of space
and I'd like to have seen more of Vahine
Yes confiscate all their passports - no one else leaves the ship
The new Stew doesn't sound too good - and who is it who goes for a swim?

Based on Kate's comment, you can do that. Based on an old iamheisenberg comment, don't forget to leave the cash on the dresser.
Dunno, but I would guess that it's a new deckhand. (Whoever replaces Ross after he replaces Chandler.)bodogbodog wrote: ↑Thu Nov 29, 2018 4:37 pmThe new Stew doesn't sound too good - and who is it who goes for a swim?
I wonder if everyone will appear on the reunion show.

Re: below deck tahiti
Becky and I belong to a FB group which discusses Below Deck - there’s a lot of chat on the shit storm that Carolyn is stirring up on Twitter - inferences of sexual harassment by Captain Lee and hatred for Kate and also Josiah
If they do have everyone at the Reunion Show it’s going to be very interesting
I don’t think Chandler is an issue - he knew he was out of his depth and seemed pretty relieved when he got the bullet
So it seems the new stew and maybe the new deckhand are going to bring a few challenges with them
How many episodes to go?

It's only a matter of time before they call me to save Season 6.
It's only a matter of time before they call me to save Season 6.
The number of episodes in a season historically range from 11 to 15 - I don't know if that includes the reunion show(s).
It turns out that Caroline is a Jew stew and a Grateful Dead fan, so I have to forgive her - for thinking two days notice, followed by two seconds notice, was a thing. Yes, she was unprofessional, but they are all unprofessional. They all talk crap about their guests behind their backs knowing that this will be on TV. And the Captains, including Captain Sandy, are oblivious to this - after multiple seasons of the same crap? It's time to pucker-up, Captain Lee!

Re: below deck tahiti
So Carolyn says she’s not going on the reunion show (apparently Chandler isn’t either) - she says she’s not working for free
She’s also going off on Ross (that stereotypical Kiwi Bro) as he didn’t step up and support her - apparently
She is one loose cannon thats for sure
I’d post pictures but it’s too hard - that other forum makes it real easy - even if they do end up deleting half the posts!

Re: below deck tahiti
It was Ashton who got laid out by the tow line.
This is a link to Captain Lee's web site where he has blogged about the last two episodes.
https://www.thecaptlee.com/
What's weird is that he is writing as if these events just happened, when they all happened seven months, or so, ago.
In the "Below Deck" link, it still refers to Season 3. Which leads me to believe that he really doesn't blog or keep the site up-to-date, but chose to do so now. Why now? Is it because he already knows what comes next?

episode 10: man overboard
The episode name was just a tease. We know no more about what happens to Ashton than last week.
The tip from the charter of charterers was 17K.
The new third stew, according to her resume, is Laura-Christina Nusair. Based on what I can find on the Internet, though, she goes by the name Laura Betancourt. She is Canadian, and speaks fluent Spanish - so probably she was married to a Spanish speaker named Betancourt. She has Yoga skills, and she is not on Twitter ... but her cousin is:
That was an actual exchange between Laura and Adrian. (They were talking about )
The new deck hand is Tyler Rowland.
And finally, the new primary is Brandy Coffey from Sarasota.

episode 11: let them eat chicken
This was a chicken-shit episode.
Ashton was barely dinged. Appropriately, he rode out event in the dinghy, until it was safe to return - due to rough seas - and then he limped a little once he was back on the yacht. There was no blood. There was no visible swelling. He had bed rest for one day, and then he started work again.
Could it have been worse? Could he have actually had his foot severed and bled-out? Sure. And maybe they should tether all the knives in the kitchen because they could go flying out of Chef's hands and stab someone in the heart. And maybe they should not allow guests to swim with nurse sharks because there are bad nurses out there that give out the wrong medication.
So there was a lot of drama, including a "Come to Jesus" meeting - where interestingly the Captain played back the TV video - another can of worms there - but all that drama, I think, including the Captain's emotional outbursts, are only because they are on TV.
Elsewhere, the guests were aghast that they were served chicken for dinner. I get that. Chicken is almost always bland, and they serve it to prisoners.
Suppose the primary got salmonella * from some Coq au vin? Captain Lee would have to call her family and tell them that their mom died because she ate some bad chicken! "She was well-liked and very brave, though." **
16K tip, $1300 each. Ashton made the grand gesture of not taking his share, but that offer, too, was chicken-shit.
======
* Can you get chickenella from bad salmon?
** "And we're not going to accept any tip from the survivors." ***
*** Except for Rhylee, maybe.

episode 12: check yourself
Casting Call, Below Deck, Season 7
Yachting experience not necessarily.
Snarkiness a must. Insubordination a plus.
Must be willing to simulate sex with fellow crew members.
They're still trying to sell the idea that Ashton's foot could have been severed. But I'm reminded that Jack LaLane once towed 70 boats ...
... when he was 70 years old!
Ten years earlier, he towed a one thousand pound boat from Alcatraz to Fisherman's Wharf ... while handcuffed and shackled. Two years later, he swam over one mile in Long Beach Harbor, handcuffed and shackled, towing thirteen 20-foot aluminum boats with 76 people on board.

Re: below deck tahiti
Watched last weeks and have to say a "happy crew" is rather boring - how long Rhylee stays happy is anyones guess - someone will have to keep bonking her to maintain the apparent bliss!
As for the guests - what a waste of space - they'll give gays a bad name! - why bother with preference sheets when they don't mean diddly...
Oh - anyone want to bid on a slightly used jet ski - last seen heading for South America - or maybe New Zealand?
